Inexperienced Home Inspector

Unqualified Home Inspector

Successful Home Selling or Purchasing Tips

Picking the right home inspector can be one of the most important decisions one can make during the home buying or selling process. Picking the wrong home inspector can be costly in several different ways. Buyers and Sellers alike should feel confident that their home inspector has a wide range of experience and knowledge of the entire construction process. Bob Ziemke has been in the construction business for over 25 years. His experience gives him the unique insight needed to provide clients the most thorough inspection possible. Please contact Bob Ziemke, Premier Property Inspections at 419-656-5143 to set up an appointment.

Beware of the lazy home inspector.

Most home inspections should take 2-3 hours—or longer. If your home inspector finishes within a short period of time, unless it’s a tiny property, you should assume they were not thorough enough to give you the information needed to make one of the most important decisions of your life.

Beware of the “inspector” who doesn’t fit the part

Obviously, you want a professional, but home inspections involve crawling around under structures and climbing onto rooftops. If the inspector shows up wearing office attire and/or has inadequate tools, you might want to reconsider your decision.

Beware of the “inspector” who has no hands-on construction-related experience.

Granted, home inspection training is an absolute must, but there is no way that a couple of classes can ensure an inspectors competency. There are so many things you can’t learn from a classroom.
